For my water photo shoot, I focused on how the water was able to distort objects and forms. To capture this, I used props and models in my photo shoot including mirrors and coloured material with which I was able to capture movement in some of my images. with the material, I tried making it correspond with the form of the human body by wrapping it around my models legs, hands and face to show the water changed the behavior of the material. I also tried to take some abstract shots by taking close up pictures of my models distorted hands, feel and face under the surface of the water which produced some nice images.
In the photo shoot, I experimented with shutter speed and exposure to see how it would change the image. I found that with a slower shutter speed allowing more blur in the image, I was able to capture and present more movement in the image.
I tried to capture some of the work of Lorraine Shemesh with my photo shoot who also looks at how the water distorts objects to create abstract images and interesting patterns, mainly using the human body to explore this.
